Its that time of year again when i face the crowds & head off to the ekka with my daughter. I dont like crowds...but she hates going on photographic trips so its payback time.

Its the 129th year that the ekka has been running.

Produce...we grow a lot of bananas around here

Nice set, especially the horse shoeing pictures:D. I too don't like crowds and had issues with that last weekend in San Francisco. I'm actually looking forward to our small state fair next week. I'm going to try some evening ride pictures that I can stack. It's pretty small, but I also like the photo section of the fair. I'm entering in 10 shots for my first print competition and expect that I'll have about 10% of the entriesne_nau.gif. Not good, but a start. Fairs are also great people photo ops which I'm trying to become comfortable with. I see that you pretty much avoided the people shots except for the beauties at the end of your post.

    Thanks for sharing,
    Chris

Tks chris...hard to get crowd shots as i wont take photos of kids at all other than my own. I think of it as strangers taking shots of my own & i wouldnt like it.

I would have loved to try & get some shots of the rides though.

I really like the flames and hot coals shot. Fire is hard to capture without blowouts. Very nice.thumb.gif

Tks khaos..it was dark in there. Inside a type of big tent with no lighting at all. This would have been great if only i had caught the hammer in it.
