Mom still hasn't covered over the cells. I guess it is due to the cool weather conditions ?

    Good one - might be cool weather- they are suppose to hatch in a few days I think. Don't think the cells are covered until the grub is ready to pupate - the workers have to feed the developing grubs.

    here's what i dont get. how do you get so close to the bee and his hive without it trying to fly away or like eat you??

    Most of the time she crawls to the back side of the nest trying to hide. Working distane is 8"-12".
    Nikon 105mm AIS w/68mm extension coupled to 2X teleconvertor.
