I spent last Friday in Olympic National Park, the forecast didn't look promising so I headed down to Oregon for Saturday and Sunday. I was at Ecola State Park at sunrise on Saturday, John Day Painted Hills at sunset, Smith Rock Sunday at sunrise, and then Silver Falls State Park Sunday morning before driving back home to Seattle.

The route on Google Maps (with additional stops I made along the way): http://bit.ly/9lAPDp

Here are some of my favorite shots from the trip:

Nice series of shots. I really like #3 the best. It's very abstract and hard to get a sense of scale, and that's why it works!

WOW, you put in some miles! eek7.gif

Love #1 due to the bonus of the city lights in the distance. Love the isolation of #3 compared to the wider views of the hills. #6 is great- such a peaceful scene. Any chance there's a landscape version of the shot?

Excellent series Ron. I think I know exactly where the first photo was taken from. Been there a few times:).

Love number #3 as it does give some sense of scale with the flowers, such a beautiful mountain. and the falls in #8 look fantastic. Well done.

The part of Oregon with the Painted Hills are so spectacular and the Painted Hills are just a small part!

    Great shots!

Great set- they are all very well done, #1 is my favorite. I love the graded blues, and I'm a sucker for tonal pictures
