This is the first time I have taken any cricket shots. C & C and advice would be more than welcome on these three shots. I took these with 40D and 70-200L F.4 lens. I intend to take some more soon but I would like to know exactly what I should be considering especially composition etc.
Kind regards
Bob

My preference for shooting stuff like this is to try to capture the intensity of emotion of a single player or two -so I tend to compose very tightly on 1 or two players on the field. I try to get the contact with the ball, the swing... some part of the action and focus of the players. With the distance you're shooting from a 300mm might be better if you have one. Try cropping #1 & #3 tight on the 3 central players around the sign.

I think these are just a touch over exposed. I also like to bump up the intensity of the color, more saturated. Shooting jpegs on my Nikon its Vivid or More Vivid. Shooting raw, do it in post. Your bowling shots on the other thread are even more overexposed and flat (color saturation). Can't do much with the harshness of the mid-day sun...

Yes I see exactly what you mean. That sounds great advice and I appreciate it very much.
