Love old signs. Too bad the vandals have nearly obliterated it.

    Hey Randy,
    I really like this shot.
For one your processing is always so pleasing.
Two, I like the contrast between the old sign vs the contemporary "tagging" and the fact that the words "fresh up" are there, it's kind of ironic.

I also found myself trying to read all the words.

Old signs....a real passion of mine. Great shot on this one, excellent PP.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Really nice treatment here Randy. I too love these old signs which are getting to be quite hard to find outside of "antique" shops hereabouts.

In this rare case, that's part of the intrigue of it. This sign is on the side of the Luckenback, TX Post Office/General Store.

    Hey Liz,

    Thanks for the nice comments.

While I don't like old signs defaced in general, in this instance, at this particular location, it would have seemed very strange for the sign to NOT have tagging on it. But Luckenback, TX is a little different type place anyway. The outside stage and public restrooms are covered in hundreds of old license plates. Some oddities to observe for sure.

I think the tagging actually adds character to the sign (and also to the shot)... not to mention the additional layer of textures it creates. Love the angle and the colours & post-processing work here.
