Spent the weekend at a dressage show held in an indoor arena with the usual dismal lighting. This is one of my shots - caught leaping into the canter. C&C always welcome.

Nice job. You need to find an outdoor event and have some fun.

I was sitting here a while back lamenting the fact that the amount of rain we are having means my event the weekend is probably already a forgone conclusion when I was looking forward to the season just getting into full swing and earning some bucks.

I remembered seeing some of your pics Snow and thought to myself, it could be worse, they could be indoor events and I'd have to deal with the $hitty lighting and backgrounds every time!

I don't envy you mate. While I had to shoot in the showers for a bit at the event I did last weekend, everything else is so much easier for me than it is for you. You are making decent pics against everything being against you so I think damn well done!

Personally I much prefer Showjumping/ Equitation/ mounted games/ sporting and the action type stuff but the Dressage is coming up here and what I'll be shooting mainly over the next month to 6 weeks. To me dressage is a bit like grass growing even though I understand it a bit now.

As long as the pics sell, I don't care if I have to shoot the horse and jockeys rolling in the mud.... which could be more entertaining than dressage to me!! ne_nau.gif

    Thanks guys.

Glort - I used to show and compete in dressage and currently coach a couple of riders so it's my 'sport of choice' and, along with reining, is the top growing equine sport in the area in terms of participation.

Now, that said, I too can only take so many hours of it - and then I get a bit bored as well. But - as you said.... $$?? we hope.mwink.gif
