Priviet, dear friends!
Hope you'll like them - I took them yesterday... just two country girls...

What about this b&w style? (yes, making them a bit older - but that's what them want, ye?)
Spasibo,
Yuri

Your portraits are beautiful as ever Yuri, but personally I don't like how noisey they are. Could we see the originals?

Very nice, thank you. I like how the background complements their eyes. Now I'm wondering how you did the B&W conversion. Care to share?

    Thanks

I use www.optikvervelabs.com free plugins 'virtual photographer' for PhotoShop.
'Gallary' was used here with some corrections...

Yuri, I love all your work. Your portraits are just beautiful. I think I prefer the color version of the last two. Both models have lovely eyes and in the color version their eyes stand out and draw you into the picture. I would be thrilled to take portraits half as beautiful as yours!!

    Yuri,
I love your portraits - but in this case I prefer the color to the b&w version that you posted. I usually really gravitate towards the b&w, but I think the grain/noise conveys a different sensibility, and for me it doesn't work as well with these girls.. especially with the eyes - they are so crystal clear in the color version! (but yes, it does make them seem older:):)

Did you try a b&w conversion without the noise? What did you think?

Thanks for sharing your work - you're an inspiration to me!!

Yuri I like the black and white and I think the noise is very dramatic.. I love it.

Yuri I like both versions very much. Is there a story behind why they look so sad/serious?

    Hi Yuri,
The B&W treatment did make them look older than in the color shots. I also don't see your signature shots in the B&W that makes them "Yuri Portraits"; the color ones are definitely yours.
These are lovely young girls and, for me, best portrayed in your color work. The first one has a much softer expression than the second girl. Both color shots are "Yuri Signature" shots and very niceclap.gif; I like them both.

    Thanks for sharing,
    Chris

A picture is but words to the eyes.
    Comments are always welcome.

I think the graininess does help compliment the mood of the girls not smiling.

    Thanks for sharing

    Spasibo for your comment, Autumn!
Yes, of course. I've tried, but...
As I said, these girls wanted them to be older on photos, so I made them 2 versions: b&w and color.
I added noise to b&w to add "age" to them. Hope this works...

I'm starting to appreciate your technique more and more everytime I shoot with natural light. Your hand must be incredibly steady, especially with the clarity in the eyes.

    Beautiful, Yuri, as usual.

Spasibo, no stories - just wanted to look 'older'

Yuri forgive me if I've asked you this before (getting very old) but do you use a tripod?? I tend to think not but I'd like to know for sure.

    Thanks
