Other than water, that's where a Wood Duck belongs. I had a nest in a tree by my house...no water for miles.

He was squawking for what all of us males squawk for!

I've never seen a duck in a tree, but seen geese in a tree. I was told they will go up into trees if there's a fox/coyote around or they feel threatened.
