Peonies - Soft Focus?

Just experimenting with my camera and took this shot. Here are the specs --- 50mm, f/4.5, 1/500 sec., ISO 200. 1DS Mark III. Lens = 50 mm 1.2L. What settings could I tweak to make this shot pop more? Does it appear to have soft focus? Any thoughts and insight appreciated. Thanks!
