I have absolutely no idea what I am doing with this cobranding/css etc but seem to be making some improvements to the way this looks BUT on the homepage everything seems to be squeezed into a narrowish central panel. Is there some magic - and simple - code to get it to stretch out across the whole screen?

Thanks,
Sue

Right now the homepage is next up in line for it's turn to be redone, you will have more control over the width then.

We plan on giving a longer heads up period before rolling it out, but I would hope that it could be within a week or so.

    Wow, that layout is sweet.

    I wish I wasn't such a lame-o at CSS and (really) JavaScript.

Actually I really wish that SmugMug offered tools to make such layouts accessible to mere mortals.

I realize that it'd be tricky though. iGoogle's got a kind of neat layout tool, although you're stuck with 3 columns. MyYahoo has an interesting 2-column narrow/wide layout with "widgets" that sorta autosize. But again, no mixing of widgets that span multiple columns like on William's site. That is really nice.

(And now I realize you have a similar layout on your "Find" page, Andy.)

This thread contains code to stretch your categories, sub-categories, and 2nd home page - http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=93221&highlight=enhanced+stretchy.

Of course you could also use the Firefox Web Developer extension to look at the code on the site that Andy linked above. Information at http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/1354921.
