My favourite bee :)

Found my favourite bee yesterday a rather beautiful male mason bee - Osmia caerulescens. It was sitting on a windowsill and initially I thought it was the victim of jumping spiders that hunt around there. Turned out it was very much alive but feeling the cold (it had turned cloudy). Took a some shot series then tried feeding it a litle sugar water on a cocktail stick (not sure if it actually drank any) and then persuaded it to walk onto my finger. Took a last shot set and a couple of minutes later it was able to fly off. About 7mm body length.
All shots 5Dmk2/MPE-65/430Ex flash - all focus stacked by hand except #1 (focus stacked using zerene stacker)
