I know you all have them. Lets see your other than people documentation of the day. Heres some examples, but obviously not limited to like images. After trying to find some favorites these are tough to pick, So for this challenge I want to allow you to choose two of your favorites:wink

Also I would like to stay away from ring shots in this round. Im sure someone with pick that as an exclusive theme at one point.

an exception to my people rule.

I always liked this one. The ring bearer was playing with those cars only a moment before.

    I'll play!
I was asked by a friend to do her "pre-wedding" -- her photog did her formals as a favor to her and she wanted some prep shots. Because she's amazing, she gave me 2 1/2 hours with her and her groom to be before the wedding. These are two of my favorites from that day.

    Shoes.

    Getting Ready

It was also the first outing with my 40D, so I'm slightly attached to that shoot :)

This is my first post on dgrin, so apologies if I haven't got it figured out yet. These are literally the only two non-people photos I took at this wedding.

Very nice! Beautiful flower and beautiful rings…

…but I think the rings & flower are working against each other (…gilding the lily?)

…and the second one reminds me of the old chestnut where the scene is a beautiful beach, and we see that a damsel in distress has been buried up to her neck in the sand…

Soon we see a knight on a white steed ride up. He stops and dismounts.

The Damsel: "…oh, good Sir Knight! At last, you've come to rescue me!!!"

The Knight: "hmmmm… …well, what's in it for me?"

    D in D: "…sand."

    Landscape details
A "landscape detail" if you look off in the distance, that spot of white are the chairs under a 200 year old pecan tree where the wedding was held..about a mile from the house.

after uploading it seems the colors are not as vivid as I thought, is that just a forum thing? plus it looks softer

    I love country weddings :-)

Color issue is probably because you saved your image in Adobe RGB color space rather than sRGB. You can google more info on the web regarding wherefore and why...But before you upload, always convert your color space to sRGB.

Softness could be due to compression/resizing
