corrupted cf card help

Here's the deal. This winter I was out all day shooting. Got home and slipped the card in the card reader (cheap Targus card reader from Walmart). Apparently one of the pins bent and it ruined the card reader. Put the card back in my 5d and plugged it in to download the old fashioned way (camera to PC). Would not download. Now the images show up on my 5d's lcd but will not transfer. When I put the cf card in another reader, it shows a file but says 0kb of data on it. I know there is due to the fact the 5d shows all the images in it's playback. So I am assuming something is corrupted.

My question is, can I retrieve this data somehow and if so, how?
