Steves Digicams just posted a full review of the Fuji Finepics F10 digicam.

This is the first digicam to allow ISO 1600 that is usable, and it has very high responsiveness. At under $400, it's the first small digicam to attract my attention in a long time.

Now if it just had:

A zoom longer than 3x.
A RAW file mode.
Manual control of shutter and aperture.
An e-flash connector, Hot-Shoe or PC.
CF storage.

(Gripe and whine some more already. At least I have no money, so I don't have to consider another purchase.)

    Hey Ziggy...
I have the F10, it is a great camera when I can't carry around my Canon 20D.
It has amazing pictures for a compact camera. Very quick, great battery, excellent at high ISO's and low light.

    The movie mode is terrific.

Yeah, it could have some better manual controls, but I work around them.

I got mine at Amazon, for like 285.00 and has a $30 rebate on top of that.

If you sign up for a Amazon Visa, they will give yo another $30 towards the camera. AND ships free.

I've been eyeing the F10 for a while myself. I would have bought it already if it didn't take those goofy xD cards. Why couldn't they put something normal in it like SD or CF? :crazy

    Dean,

You get all the cool stuff!!

I wouldn't mind the xD cards except, last I checked they were more $/MB than many other card types, and I already have CF as a standard for almost all my digital stuff and another card standard is just another standard to buy and adapt to computers etc. There is absolutely nothing wrong with any of the new storage cards from a technical point of view. If I was really interested in buying an F10 it would not be a deal breaker.

    Thanks,

Yeah luckily work buys most of my toys. :D

My GIG for the Fuji was cheaper than my Canon GIG card. $74.00 for my Fuji Gig card. $99.00 for the Canon 20D card.

If you are interested in the Fuji, and if i can help, let me know.
