C&C Welcome

Tried a range of HDR styles here.

They might not be the most inspired HDR images. But no comments, at all?ne_nau.gif

    They look like hdr.

The second one has the haloes some associate with hdr.

The last has a more realistic look than a surreal look.

I like the first image of the coupler. HDR works well with heavy metal and rust for me too.

Yeah, I like #1 for the rust, too. #2 is more than I would normally do, but thought I would give it a try. Not sure how to eliminate the "halos"?

#3 is how I see doing a nice enhanced natural landscape. It really works for me.

I just need to get some netter subjects......

#2 is way over the top for me. Making things look unreal can be artistic--if you are an artist to begin with. I think #1 would look better if you raised the black point some--as is, it has a kind of washed out, flat look. #3 is a good example of using HDR to deal with difficult exposure situations. I think it's great to experiment but one has to remember that a good photograph is nicer to look at than a bad painting. deal.gif

Thanks for looking, Richard! Yeah, #2 is not my style, just trying "grunge". How do you eliminate the halos????headscratch.gif

    I do a repost of # 1 soon! thumb.gif

    Hi Don

I really like #1 & #3. Couple of suggestions... I know you love rust like I do. I often take rust HDR shots back into PS and ramp up the saturation of the red a bit and sometimes cut back on the green and yellow sat'n if the grass is a bit too fluorescent looking in the HDR. Also, the halos can often be reduced significantly or even eliminated by increasing the smoothing.

I am just starting to try and use HDR myself.

I really prefer #3 for the more natural look.

I here ya, Sam. thumb.gif That is my preference for most situations. However, as Jack'll do, a variation of #1 can be great for Rust! :D

    #2 was a failed experiment. eek7.gif

Better. For my taste, it's a little radioactive but many folks like that look.
