Here is a first draft on playing with letters:

Ottawa

I just thought to capture elements from the same category representing the word...

What do you think?

***This is no longer a first draft - I have an update down-below.
I would appreciate your opinion, please.

Nice! I like that all the letters are from a similar theme...I thought about trying this approach as well (but just need a theme). The 1st T wasn't as clearly a T when I first looked at it, but when taking the whole word in, it was easier to see.

Very nice. I agree that the first 'T' isn't as strong as the other letters. The others are so very nicely done that the first 't' seems a little out of place. That's the only letter that I'd suggest changing. I especially love the 'w'!

    Thank you :)

I'll try to find another T and I will refine the whole image.

I also have some other ideas. This is a such a cool theme,it's hard to stop to
    only one idea :D

Nice work! I think you should offer to sell this to the city of Ottawa for tourism marketing!

I think the new T in the 2nd version of Ottawa is an improvement over the 1st one but its a shame it is so similar to the one you already have.

Country is nice but I have to say that I had to work out the U from the other letters it is not an easy "see"

Country has a great "country feel" to it. The cow is a very unique idea for the T, and cracks me up! I too had to decifer the U from the other letters, but I find if I just sit back and take it all in, it all worksthumb.gif
(your 2nd ottowa is nice too)

How did you have time to take all those photographs in a 2 week period? Laughing.gif They are all nice images. I like both groups.

Well, actually I didn't take them in a 2 week period.

I took the Ottawa shots in the afternoon of 31 May, along with many other shots in Ottawa.
    - these were only from the parliament building (and courtyard), witch is so nice and I think,
    representative for Ottawa.

With the country shots it's a different story- they were mainly taken on June 5 but some on June 2.
    - We took 3 days off for a family event and drove to Thousand Islands. These villages in Southern
Ontario are so nice and there are so many things to photograph, so I got the idea of using the word
    "Country".

So no, they were not taken in a 2 week period - just few days.

Oohhh! I think "country" is more colorful and fun than "ottawa". Very appealing, I'd go with "country."
