Hey Support Heroes,
I'm Robert, my site is http://the-camera-man.smugmug.com, and I'm using Firefox on Windows.
The question is:
Are the images not protected anymore? Now, when I right click on an image, I get the option to save the image. I used to get a blurb that the images are protected.
Please see this image:

I would like people to be able to view the panorama in very large format on their screens that they can scroll and see the details. in "X3" view, it's still not big enough. In "Original" view, it is. But I have the image protection problem. please help!
(in fact, I still have the protection problem when I limit it to "X3" size. What is going on? Now, as I look back, it seems that my clients have been using some of my images on their facebook accounts...could it be that they are saving my images because they aren't protected?

Please don't rely on the tright click image protection to actually stop people getting your images. It's very simple to work around this and get the images saved locally.
The only ways to really protect the images on smugmug are to use watermarks (if you have a pro account) or to only offer small versions of the images.
The right click protection will only dissuade the most casual of viewers.

The right click-option is in fact useless: a one-minute screen-print and the image has been copied.
Isn't it that the option to publish photos as small as possible is the best, only you losse a nice view?
And a water-mark? A normal one somewhere in a corner doesn't work because of the screen-print trick. The only real watermark-protection is one diagonale over the whole picture........ :nah
Bob, you must've not had protection checked to 'yes' in the gallery settings. It's all good now, I looked.
