Poppy

On a wonderful day the family and I had a walk around Cuerden Valley Park, in Preston.

There are many gentle paths (and some not quite so, though not so tough really) and fields galore and all sorts of pleasantry.

In the walled orchard garden, I spotted this single large poppy with a few buttercups and grasses and thought it might make a decent subject - then went and added a few extras to the result (which basically was a poppy and some buttercups!)

Effects were a bas-relief sketch layer with a reduced opacity. Simple enough. Don't think I did anything else to it apart from a curves tweak. Then a splatter frame and a matching red keystroke at 3 pixels wide.

C&C as always appreciated.
