I'm a little undecided on this one. I've done this type of challenge several times, but the stained glass windows at my church turned out to be harder to mine for abstract letters than I thought they would be. Whaddya think?

I can see the letters, but the image that you posted is so large on my screen that I can't see it all at once. I can't get an overall impression.

Much better! This works pretty well. The only observation is that it might be easier to read if you bring the 'n' down to the level of the other letters. The lovely windows speak to the word SAINT.

Beautiful stained glass. I really love the 'a' and the 't'. The 's' shot is very pretty, but I wish the 's' were a little bigger. The 'n' is a little more subtle, but I like it!

Overall, very nice. It takes a little bit of looking to get 'saint' but then it's very obvious. I love the overall effect with the stained glass.

Very cool concept! I think a tighter crop on the "s" might help a bit for the viewer.

Yeah, this is terrific. I looked at some stained glass today, but couldn't see any letters. Wonderful job!

I really like your concept, and the color is fantastic! The letters were a bit hard for me to make out, kind of getting lost in the color, but I might like that because you have to search for them, and when you find them they are pretty clear.

Thanks for the input everyone. Made the "S" crop closer and submitted it! Looks like this is going to be an exciting round.

Interesting take on the challenge. This is a fun one to involve the kids with. I took my three boys with me last year to a fave hike here and, wanting to get them out with me to exercise, gave them the same challenge. To find the entire alphabet in abstract. They took right to it. We photographed it. Made it into a poster, and now it is for sale at a local bookstore. They loved it!

    Here's the poster:

I really like this. Without the title, it might take a longer look to figure it out, but it is so awesome! I love stained glass, and it was an idea that had occured to me, but I don't think anything I could come up with could compare to this! Nice job!

I think if you cropped in a bit closer on the "S" and the "i" it would be just perfect.

    I like it a lot :)

To me, its like a combination of many artforms. You have photography and stained glass obviously, but taken as a whole, it reminds me of graffiti art as well! Good job :)
