Site-wide Password Got Unlocked

This was strange...I've had my site-wide password set for as long as I can remember. But just recently, I received an email notice that someone had left me a comment...and it wasn't someone I had shared the site's password with.

Was there a glitch sometime recently that unlocked site-wide password protections?

I've since re-engaged the password.

I am not aware of any glitch that would do that. Is it possible that they got the password from someone else? Or maybe they used a computer that someone that had logged in before used? The cookies might have still been valid letting them in.
