iPad App - can't download videos

I am having trouble syncing videos with the SmugMug iPad app. When I try to download my gallery for local storage on my iPad, the videos do not sync. It only stores the "start picture" from the video.
Am I missing something? Operator error?
Photos sync just fine.
The gallery is password protected. I have tried to remove the password protection and make it totally public, and I still can't get it to work.
Everything works just fine (videos play) when viewing it through the browser on my iPad when I am online.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully I'm all set now.
The latest update seems to have improved things.
