Hey all,
I'm looking at both of these lenses and am after opinions on which one folk think is a better purchase. Is the price difference justified?
I've looked at Flickr comparisons and such, but I can't really decide so any thoughts would be much appreciated.

In short, it would appear that the Nikkor AF-S DX 10-24mm, f3.5-f4.5G ED is a better lens in almost every measure. The Nikkor does have more barrel distortion at 10mm than the Tamron, and the Tamron is a decent performer at 10mm especially stopped down to f5.6.
If I were purchasing between these 2 lenses I would target the Nikkor, "if" it were within budget. As it is I chose the Sigma 10-20mm, f4-f5.6 DC EX HSM and I am still happy with that lens and have no plans to change. If you should look at Sigma be aware that sample variations have been reported and you should purchase from a supplier with liberal return/exchange privileges, just in case.

I've compared the two lenses in great details. I've looked at the sharpness, distortion, chromatic aberration, vignetting and the build quality of both lenses.

Hope this helps.
