Vineyard dawn

ok, so I got up early one time on vacation - in Paso Robles. I wanted to see what I could make of pre-dawn in the vineyards and so after a bunch of mad scrambling (in the dark I mistook carefully manicured dirt rows for actual vines and then had to race the earth's rotation in a quest for a new location) I finally got something I don't hate -

I couldn't get as close as I wanted without trespassing and even though I know the winemaker at this particular vineyard, I wasn't going to take the chance. Not too bad though, considering.

Thanks for looking. Comments welcome as usual.

    Hi W.D.,

Looking at this pic I get the image of the old tree watching over the young vines.
The overcast morning creates a very soft light and I am thinking if it were clear with the sun creating some hard light shadows, this pic would really pop. Good job with the composition though. thumb.gif

I don't think it was overcast...just really hilly, by the time the sun crests the color is gone. Thanks on the composition...it practically begged for it.
