As I was driving away from Zion National Park late one afternoon in October, I looked in my rearview mirror and immediately stopped for this image...

I think just like you i would of immediatley pulled over,wonderfull exposure and all them different tones in the rock excellent.The squarer crop works well too.

Good decision to stop. We were just there a couple of weeks ago. If one stops for every photo it is impossible to get anywhere.

Which road were you heading out on? Any tips for the National Park? I'm going to be there mid-August for a few days with the family..
