Magazine Covers - illegal?

I'm shooting little league right now and a parent asked me to make a photo of their child into a magazine cover, using the name and logo of a real sports magazine. I did it and put it in an unlisted gallery. It came out really nice and I think other parents would be interested in this. Yes I am charging a profit. Is this kosher? Or would I have to use a fake magazine name to do this legitimately?

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

I would bet donuts to dollars that the parent in question doesn't realize that the retail services that do stuff like this (I have one of myself from way back in High School on the cover of Road & Track magazine) have a licensing agreement with the magazines and pay a fee for the ability to do this.
