She is used to me having a camera on me all the time and she was completely into her first plant.

Thank you Mary Kim:D

The part I didn't get to shoot is where she tore off some of the basil and crushed it in her hand--so not sure on that green thumb, unless you mean green from squishing the plant.
Thanks Tom, glad you like it.

Thanks DaddyO--I am very proud of my series. I need to get them into one gallery already, I have them scattered about. It's one of the things I learned from being a member of the street/pj forum, capturing those real moments.
So thank you for saying that.

My wondering -- when I take angles similar to this, I always wonder if somehow being able to include the eyes (without a solution of how) would make the photo that much better.
People are said to have a " green thumb " when they have a knack for making things grow. I got my green thumb from my mother when I was just about the girls age. It looks like she is enjoying her experience, so I'm thinking she going to get the green thumb at an early stage. Some folks never get it.....pity.

It says so much about nature and nurture.
I look forward to seeing the rest of your series.
The virtue of the camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking. - Brook Atkinson- 1951
Sorry Tom,
I missed your post.
I know what a "green thumb" is --I may not have one, but I know what they are lol.
I have killed a cactus. Not proud of it.

Thanks Syncopation, for the nudge. I've decided to do just that--put them in a series.
Gracias.
