The remaining members of the Grebe Family
Last month, several Viera Wetlands photographers were busy documenting a new Pied Billed Grebe family where the chicks had hatched and just started venturing out of the nest with their parents.
Well, since that time it appears that the entire family unit was destroyed by predators, with the exception of one chick and one adult. Today (6/8/10) I got some shots of the two survivors of that Pied Billed Grebe family.
It has been a bad year for bird chicks at Viera..............

#5 is my favourite with the chick begging for food. Thanks for posting these images.

As for the photos, all look fairly soft - can't tell if it's OOF or motion blur, but on #2 specifically I can see the focus is about a foot behind. I'd like to see an even lower angle. And maybe a little more brightness/exposure?

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
