Great pose by your subject. I like the comp and excellent details. I would have worked on the eye some more to bring it out some more. Did you try to work on the shadow area in the mouth?

I agree and did work on both of those elements and went as far as I thought I could.

Great Image Ric, and I think that Harry is right about working on the head and beak area to bring out more in those areas. Love the branch and the pose in this shot.
