OK, so I am shooting candids during cocktail hour and I see the bride talking to her Dad. I snap one, and then another, and then it seems like they are talking about something bad so I move around the room looking for happier emotions. Today I am going through the reception shots and I now think I know what was going on! I think I should have kept shooting there instead of giving up. If I had noticed what was in his hand I would have kept shooting!!

So, to me he looks like he is giving her a car! The weird look on his face is the same look he has in every picture... not sure if he has some issues or if he is just a dry humor kind of guy. I didn't really talk to him at all.

So has anyone else every stumbled upon something like this? If he did give her a new car it would be my luckiest catch ever. not that they are great pics, but it is the exact moment! Of course, maybe she just dropped her keys and he found them too... I will find out on the 14th when they get back from the honeymoon!

Well, that would be cool if you happened to catch that! You going to do some inquiring before you give them the pic?

Definitely! I would have emailed them today if they weren't on vacation. I'm really currious!

Well I know Jay is wrong, I just don't know if I'm right! Mom was working the room like a rockstar.

No that is not how someone gives a bride a car.

I agree. If the bride was being given a car, there would be one key (not a whole bunch) and it would have had a BIG RIBBON attached, and given with great ceremony and appropriate fanfare/attention etc.

I think it's more on the lines of:

"…oh I think I've double parked on a yellow-line! Could you just pop out and move it for me, there's a dear…"

(although I must admit, I like the "Grandma left in the trunk" story better! :D )

You're probably right, but that dad is an odd duck... I'll be sure to report back when I know for sure!

Hmmmmm... That would answer a lot of questions in my mind! Realistically this may be the best guess yet. I was kinda enjoying my little fantasy for a while though!

That is the look he had in almost every picture. Even when dancing with his wife. I'll post some samples tomorrow. I was actually thinking maybe he had had a stoke or something. It didn't bother me or make me wonder at the event though, so who knows.

    I'm still askin' though! :D
