Texas' Harris's Hawks, part II
Here is the second round of images of the Harris's Hawks I encountered at the Weaver Ranch in Raymondville, Texas.
Careful with that step
Don't go too much more to the right.
Stretching the toes
Once again, the lovely couple (not shot from the blind) I actually walked over to this large tree where they were perched.
Don't come any closer.
I might have to use these. (I've actually been envisioning a shot like this for quite some time with ANY cooperating raptor. This was the first one.)
A few more portraits
And some perches

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
