A bit of back story on this couple. Will and Cait have dated for several years. He joined the military a couple of years ago after working a great job close to DC. After all of his training and commissioning he arrived at Fort Bragg and was told he would be deploying.

Fast forward 5 months to December 2008 and they decided to elope to Las Vegas.

They then decide to have the formal ceremony after his return in November of 2009. The wedding was January 2010.

They come to me first to photograph their wedding. :dunno I gave her a couple of names and some sites to look at. She came back to me and then I sat down with her and told her that it would be best if she was to find someone else for different reasons...1. Her father in law was my husband's senior rater for two years (military term); 2. We were going to be invited to the wedding as guests.; 3. I am still learning.

She looked at my site and liked what she saw. I went back and forth with this one and asked Scott (Quier) for advice. I finally gave in and agreed to do the wedding with Scott as my second. :whew
The groom is one of 5 boys and they are all still very rambunctious. It made for a fun time and every now and then an interesting photo.

I am very nervous about posting these but I have to jump in sometime. I will make sure you know when the photo is Scott's. Thanks for "listening" and I hope to get your C&C.

1. (Scott) Getting ready. I like dad's reflection.

Thanks for looking. There are so many more but this gives you an idea. If you are interested you can see the rest on my site. The only request they had was that they wanted as many from the reception as possible to document the fun.

Thanks for commenting. I have to admit that 20 is my favorite formal portrait. 11 makes me smile. I just love Cait's smile and the genuineness of it.

These are not bad at all.. good focus and exposure for the most part. some shots have some flash work that is bit harsh like 14 and 15. I think overall the processesing could use some work to give it some POW...like 21 and 22..these decent captures that could really benefit from some PP loving. I don't see much in the way of creative detail shots or bridal portraits?

For example on shot 21, I would give it more exposure, stronger black point, color boost, stronger contrast, and a vignette to top it all off. The base image is good.

Thank you so much!! This is what I've been waiting for. I am always afraid to over process and I end up playin it too safe. I just needed to hear it from someone. I will go back and work on them and see what I get.:D
