Pier Rope

At the end of the pier at Morecambe I spotted this old piece of yellow rope around one of the railing pillars. The contrasting colour of the rope against the paintwork and the rust caught me eye. I have no idea why it was there - in fact I discovered on closer inspection that it was simply looped around the pillar, and not secured to it in any way, so why someone had placed it where they had is a mystery.

The thing I thought about in post processing was the horizon - I used the sea line in the distance to straighten the image, which due to the off centre angle from the POV made the railings seem on a slant.

WDYT?
