I'm wondering if this image here would be a better entry?

Thoughts? This is my first time for doing these challenges. All the letters came from one original photo.

Yes, I think that's better. I can read the word pretty easily.

Is it ok to enter my 'leaf' image even tho there's a different image done by someone else that is 'leaves'? (a different word)

Leaves is mine and I say, "Go for it!" :D

I have some other ideas as well, so I may enter something else.

I don't want to take your word, tho ... I like your 'leaves' image. :)
There are some wonderful images already entered ... I just don't know if either of my images are good enough to even enter. It's kind of like entering a paint by number oil painting along side Picaso's. Laughing.gif

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. I expect to try a few more words before the challenge ends and I may come up with something better. Generally, we like to be a bit different from each other so that our work stands out more. I'll have a couple of good shooting days this weekend, so I'll see what I can come up with.

I think it's cool that your leaf composite comes from one original image. I think I'd like it better if it were a bit sharper, but you may be pushing the limits of what your camera is capable of. I run up against that all the time. I was not happy with the second E in my original Leaves composite. I had to crop it so much to bring out the E that I lost the detail that I wanted. And your Leaf composite may appeal to the (blind) judges more than my Leaves composite.

The water bottle is good, but I think it misses for this challenge because the letters are not especially obvious.

Enter something. Get your feet wet. Keep coming back. Don't get hung up on results. These challenges are a tremendous learning experience. Each one pushes me to learn something new or see an old thing a new way. wings.gif

Hey .. thanks for the encouragement! :D I'm a mishmash of indecision over what I should do, but I will keep trying. I'll either do one of what I have now or maybe come up with something else. Maybe 3 times is a charm? :)

    Very cool! clap.gif

I was looking at your gallery for the EXIFs and I am not sure that what I am seeing is correct or that I know how to find them in Photobucket. Please check with Sean (Sherstone) to be sure that they meet the qualifications. I would not like to see you disqualified because of something that can be corrected.

Jenn, the paperclips idea is wonderful! I prefer this over the leaf idea just because it looks a bit copied from WhatSheSaw. This is original and wonderful! Way to go!

All the EXIF's are there with each image.
Go to the Photobucket gallery here
    Click on each individual image.
    For example..
Click on the first "p" (the metalic one)
On the left column there is a grey image info box with an arrow under the share this information box. You click on that and the box drops open and you can see the EXIF info on each image.

I believe Sherstone told me it was good to put the images there because he could get to the EXIF info easily.

Is there another way to do it?

Thanks! I wasn't sure if it was good or not til you all liked it. wings.gif

btw .. I don't want ya'll to think I was trying to copy WhatSheSaw. I had taken my leaf photos at the beginning of the contest and hadn't done anything with them til my first try wasn't working out. When I posted my 'leaf' try, someone said the idea had been done already and I wasn't sure headscratch.gif what they meant til I saw the other image in the gallery. Anyway.. I wasn't really happy with my 'leaf' image, either... so off to trying a 3rd time with the paperclips idea. :D
