Nice series. I like #5 for the perspective and comp but the lighting on the tree is a bit odd and artificial looking since the sun is behind it. Otherwise well done. I quite like #8
I'm loving the intimacy of #8. #2 is really cool cause there is so much lens flare, it's artistic and captures a mood...well done! #6 simply captures the essence of "them" and I really love that shot.

Hey Matt, thanks for the comments! The look on 5 you dont like was what I was going for, kind of a spotlight on them, and I added a bit more darkness in PP. I understand it might not be for everyone though...

Thanks for taking the time Swartz! I almost didnt post #6.
Did you by any chance get a second version of #8 using the same aperture and shutter speed, but with just the ring in focus?
just wondered…

PS: Your flash is generating shadows which conflict with those in the b/g - you might try a diffuser (even a clean, white, handkerchief) to soften them a bit…

Thanks for commenting Wil, I did get that version as well. I did have a GF light sphere off camera for most of the shots it was really windy or I would have used an umbrella, but there are some shadows like you say. Which ones are you mostly referring to?
Ah! That's nice Corey! That's exactly what I was thinking of - good that you got both!
The blue of the ring and her eyes go together nicely! I might have cropped even tighter (almost square, as the blue of his shirt is competing with the ring/eyes).
Shadows:
#1: The shadows on his jacket; light coming from camera right, whereas the light falling on his head is from camera left
#3: Shadows on his shirt & face - light is from camera left, whereas the buildings in the background are sunlit from the right.
I think you've captured their feelings for each other admirably. I think my favourite is #7 - great composition, nice use of DOF, and the dog is cool, although I'd have been tempted to try exactly the same pose but without the dog; after all it's about the couple, and in that pic it's almost as if the dog is playing gooseberry!

Nice series! For me, the clear winner here is 8... I love the look on her, the hand placement, dof and the whole 9. Well done.
