In a couple of months I'm heading to Africa, in the mean time I'm learning to use my first big lens (big for me anyway) the Bigmos. Today, was my first chance to play - using my stand in lion running at full pelt. CC welcome.

Looks like you should be well prepared for your trip. Where are you going in Africa? I'll be going to Kenya next year.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

We are starting in Rwanda, where my uncle is getting married. Trekking the gorillas as a family, and then my husband and I are off to Tanzania for a safari. We spent 5 months travelling in Africa in 2008 so are really looking forward to going back. :D (Particularly in terms of photography - we only had a P&S the first time round.)
