Does anyone know why I'm seeing block noise on the photos smugmug is displaying in this gallery: http://www.cyclingcaptured.com/Anthonys-Travels/2010-WGFC-Fireworks

These are the only photos I'm having problems with. This noise doesn't show up on my monitor viewing the files in my editing program or after they're post-processed and I'm viewing them in a file viewer. Here's an example:

See all the blocky/splotchy noise?

Lots of things can affect this. I do not see any noise in the display copies. What monitor, what browser, and what OS are you using? Please show exactly where, on your displayed photo here, you see noise? Thanks!

Oh wow, I see the noise while viewing in FireFox 3.6 and Safari 5, but not IE. In IE, everything looks as it should. I took a screenshot of the noise, you should be able to see it in the screenshot:

Monitor is a 23" LG Flatron W2361VG, OS is Windows 7.

Check your zoom preferences in FF and Safari. Maybe you're zoomed.

It's local Andy and only on the computer I'm on now. I just fired it up on another computer viewing with FF and it looks fine. Thanks for your help, I have to delve deep into about:config and see what's wrong. But thank you once again for your fast response. Customer service at SmugMug is THE BEST!!!

**Edit: I figured it out Andy, FF's Color Management was doing something funky. I disabled it and everything looks as it should**
