(very) small fly hygiene

This was a very small fly, maybe 3mm, perched on top of some yarrow this morning. I don't know whether my flash provoked this frenzy of cleaning or if I was just lucky. All done with a monopod, moving the camera for focus, 50D, 100mm, 68mm tube. All single shots.

LOvely sequence. Flies do spend a lot of time of cleaning themselves (a lot more than we do).
