I don't spend enough time here, I'm usually over on POTN, so here's a few from yesterday when I shot *three* different races (a new record for me). I've posted these on my Facebook page, but other than that, you guys are the first to see these! :wink
1. Here come's the rain at the Burlington Classic.
2. Iowa State Track Championships (The state of Iowa, not the school, held in Kenosha, WI since they don't have a track in Iowa)
3. "Bong and a Half" Time Trial (long story) Not sure if this guy is mugging for the camera or just trying real hard! :huh
Canon 1D Mk II N + 70 - 200mm f2.8 or 300mm f2.8

I've got a couple of quick questions, if you be so kind to indulge me. Disregarding content and looking strictly at the look and feel of how a photo comes across, exposure, focus, ect., ect., my general impression is I really like your second two shots. The first shot, for me anyway, seems to have look and feel that's different, over processed maybe? I'm sure you were struggling with light, but I am curious about what, beyond the basic PP stuff (crop, exposure, horizon, sharpening) you performed on this shot as opposed to the others. On my screen the first shot looks almost HDRish, which for my taste is not a good look for action sports. If it's a miserable day then I think it's okay for the shot to be a bit washed out. Besides that, you've got to love a rider who's not latched onto his hoods with conditions like that!
