The quality of the light, and the texture is quite stunning!
#4 is nice, especially with the burner on in the uppermost balloon!
Nice job!

I can't believe that given such a unique opportunity, you only took 7 pics? Where are all the others?
You don't need to post all the pics…
…just the link will be sufficient!

i must admit i took a TON of photos
but most were throw aways - it was a pre-dawn start so even at ISO400 or ISO800 i was at 1/20 of a second and using fill flash - so i'm really stoked with the results
and that sun shining on the morning mist making it glow - AWESOME - that blew me away :ivar
apparently it was one of the better mornings they've had
i do have more but they're kinda stuck in with the rest of the holiday trip - i'll try to sort out a different gallery just for these photos and get back with a link
again thanks everyone - it truly gives you a unique perspective on everything floating up above it all

#6 is one of the most perfect examples of Atmospheric Perspective I've seen in years!

Here's a link to some more as well as the ones above - although I still think these are the best selection
More hotair ballooning photos from Melbourne
I'd love it if anyone felt so inclined to leave me a comment and/or rating
I was trying to work out which one I favored to print - but think I'll go with #6 seeing as it gets such great feedback
Thanks again everyone

Took a quick look at the gallery, and think #25 is pretty good (having the burner on gives it a sense of reality!)
Thanks for sharing!

My favorite is #6 for the capture of the morning fog rolling in. #7 is also a great shot just for its immense scale and the seemingly infinite number of buildings in vivid color and clarity.
figured maybe I should chime in with my faves
personally I love #1 just for the power that it implies of that jet of flame
but otherwise yeah #6 for the sheer beauty of the glowing mist - feels very majestic to me
however i guess i like them all for the memories - i can relive it over and over
cheers all!
