I shot straight into the sun with the intention of getting the sun jst like this, with it's reflection in the ripples of the harbour. I then used Split Toning (is that what it's called?) in ACR. So, these images WERE what I intended...my question - are they any good? And, Do people like them?

I like the bw one. Only thing is the sun seems alittle to centered in the photo to my eye even tho I know it isn't.

On another forum, someone suggested a crop...does this de-centre the sun and still work as a shot?

I liked the cropped better than the non-cropped ... but (the big but), the processing does not make up for an image that doesn't have a lot of visual impact. While you harbor scene does contain some very nice visual elements ... it is still on the oh-hum side of things.
