Watermark Creation

Hey Guys,

What program can I create a watermark in? I don't want to purchase a program. I want to use Word, Paint or some other that would do the job.
I want it for uploading to SmugMug so that I can apply the watermark after the upload.

Appreciate the suggestions.

Hey Allen - Appreciate the suggestion. Actually, I did try today in Paint. You happen to know how to get rid of the white page behind the watermark? In other words, I can create and save a watermark. But, when I test in in SmugMug, it's as if I saved the watermark on a sheet of white paper. How do I save the watermark itself, in Paint, and not include the white backround?

    Thx,

    Tom

Paint? It's not a serious tool and won't make anything worthy of your photos.

Go to Finishing School and ask the PS geeks there if anyone wants to help you out. People love making stuff there.

How is it you're a landscape pro and don't have/use Photoshop or something similar?

If Ps isn't up your alley, you can use Paint.NET to make a watermark fairly easily. It supports the transparency you'll need. http://www.getpaint.net
