Getting someone originals - what do you do?

I had a request for about 30 pictures to be used on a collage for a memorial. I just need to get the images in high resolution to the person that needs them. They come from many galleries all over my site. I'm completely frustrated that smugmug doesn't offer any kind of easy way of doing this... that I can think of.
I was hoping smart galleries would allow this functionality but they don't... they follow the rules of the original galleries, so I can't use them to offer originals unless I turn originals on in all the other galleries. I'd even be ok with that right now if there was a quick way to do it.
It would be a pain, but a "copy to another gallery" feature would work. But it doesn't exist. Instead I'd have to copy each image and move the copy. That would be doable if it wasn't so freaking annoying. There isn't even a "move to gallery" feature in the "this image" tools. I'd have to find the duplicated image in the bulk move tool each time. And I have no way of knowing which is the original and which is the copy... so I might break links by moving the wrong copy.
[Actually I JUST discovered I did just that! I made a copy and then deleted it. But really I deleted the original, causing the link my customer sent me to break. I would have sent him the wrong image (first in the gallery) if I didn't just notice that.]
So anyway, how do you deal with requests like this? It looks like I'm going to have to download each original and zip them and upload them to a new gallery or use a service like yousendit. The idea that I can't easily use the files I already uploaded is just so infuriating.

Course I do. But that's the really long way to do it. He browsed my site and sent me links to the photos he wanted. Your way requires me to go to each link, find the original filename, then go to lightroom and re-export each one... THEN find a way to transmit them to him.
I'd like to not do as much of that as possible... which seems reasonable since I've uploaded all of them in full resolution to smugmug. But the features don't exist.
The way I did it this time was to follow each of his links, download the original into a folder, then upload them all into a new gallery where originals were enabled. Woulda been awesome to do without the downloading and uploading, ya know?
