Hey Neil, good to see you again. Nicely spotted. I've looked at this shot a few times now and I keep thinking that it could be improved by cropping off the top some, maybe even a lot. Almost all of the important elements are in the lower two thirds of the frame. Besides the nice color, the strongest part of the image is the interplay of the wavy lines of the grass and the tree stump--the stuff at the top doesn't add to that. 8 x 10 looks pretty good, but when I cropped it square, the reddish color in the lower left popped out--I hadn't noticed it before. I think this is a prime candidate for a less-is-more approach.
It's been a long time since I've seen you here. Hope all is going good for you.
I really like how the wood bends and curves along with the bending of the grass to the left.
The snow....brrrrrrr
Hi Mary!!:D:D
Thanks for your comments. You lot have left the snow behind for another year, while some of us in different climes are just facing it for the next couple months.

Very interesting comments, R. I think you make a good case for a tighter crop. Now that I think about what you say, there is a lot of fractal stuff in this subject, the same colors and shapes repeating in smaller dimensions as you get closer. Many thanks!
Easy to see your working hard as can be to fold it all into one. As you have
all along the way from what I have seen.
Nice elements composed in this one.
