Avalanche danger was high, which was unfortunate for a summit, but we still enjoyed 18 miles of closed road and 30 miles of approach to get to ski in a place I never tire of, even if the turns were limited. The spring has been very cold in Washington and you have to try and get what you can when you can even if the outlook is dim. Sometimes you get lucky.

Actually, as I understand it, this road will be getting fixed next month (finally!!!). Yay. So, keep your eyes on the FS page.
I'm glad you guys liked. I wish I could've gotten more images of the place, but without a tripod and in a hurry, it was hard. We had a lot of miles to cover in 3 days. I'll be back next year

"Repairs to begin in 2010 beginning at Highway 530 junction up to MP 18 (Green Mtn Road 2680).* There will be periodic closures of the entire road for up to 2 weeks in length.* Road will remain closed to all vehicle traffic at MP 11.5 once work begins until work is complete sometime in 2011. Some construction equipment may be encountered on road due to Boundary Bridge extension work. Delays should be minimal."
can't wait to get back to Green Mountain!
