I have been observing this little guy on a Sago palm for the last two weeks. Decided to get my feet wet in the macro arena. No idea as to ID of this spider. Its body length is about 5mm max. I was actually trying to get a shot of a mating that was in progress, but accidently bumped the web and that put an end to the romance. These shots have just slight sharpening in PhotoShop. I am absolutely amazed at the shallow DOF in macro. Obviously, I need a lot of practice in nailing down focussing, but hopefully will improve with time.

Not bad for first go - some motion blur in the highlights and a little bit noisy. Keep at it - macro does take a while to get used to.
