I'm super picky and half azn so take my c/c to be worth a grain of salt lol...
I'm not sure why but my eye is actually drawn to the left side of the picture immediately. I didn't even notice the sun and the tyndall effect until I spent some time looking around the picture. And even then, the building to the lower right is a bit distracting. I love the colors of the bridge but I can't help but wonder what the shot would have looked like had you backed up a few feet. (there's always cropping closer for and abstract look lol)

The Simpson Brothers Photography banner messes it up for me. I also didn't notice the sunburst until a second look. Since that was probably supposed to be the center of interest, something is distracting from it too much.

With your banner in place, the light area of the metal structure forms a horizontal band that is about equal to the horizontal dark area of the structure. Compositionally, this is undesirable.

Is the top of the structure necessary? Cropping off about 1/3 of the dark band seems to help the composition.

I love this! The light coming through the beams is subtle but totally worth noticing.

TBH I might even crop out the whole top of the photo. This type of shot would work really well as an abstract, as we've all seen shots of the GG Bridge before. Trimming out the top rail and the sky would really hone your attention in to the business with the sunbeams, as well as make you think a little differently about a landmark we all know and love. thumb.gif

Do you mind if I edit the original and post it here? (thought I'd ask before I go home and do it lol)

Keep in mind that I'm a big weirdo. I tried cutting this picture half a dozen ways though lol. Darn subjectivity!
