Hello All-
I have decided to treat myself to another metal print, this time a 10x20 panorama on metal I read through the help file at http://www.smugmug.com/help/print-quality and saw the minimum pixel size as 768x1280. That is easy enough to do as it is 4 3,000 x 4,000 pixel images stitched together. What I am trying to do is figure out the point at where I am looking at minimized returns and that it is high enough resolution to print. I am planning on uploading it to SmugMug and when I upload the unsized image, it is too large for my pro account, so I know I need to downsize it a little. The question I am having is how much? The second question is does it make a difference if I output it from Lightroom or Photoshop?
Thanks

300 pixels per inch for 10 inches = 3000
3000 x 6000 = 18 MPixels for a standard 300 ppi density
That should be plenty.

Thanks for the help and sorry for the confusion. Now back to cleaning it up a little more for the print....
