Got email notification of post but it doesn't appear on site

Here is the text of an email I received today. The reply does not actually appear in my thread in Landscapes.:scratch

    Hi Neil,
    The poster had a spammy sig and was banned. We routinely delete posts from spammers, which is why the post is no longer there. No mystery. deal.gif

    Thanks, R. That explains it! Tho the comment itself seemed unspamish and genuine. I would have liked to reply.

    Neil. it was I who deleted the post. There was a spam link at the bottom of their first-ever post. Not something that gets by us often, but it does happen every now and then.
