St. Augustine - Alligator Farm Park

April 2010 - this somewhat touristy area has one of the best bird rookeries in the state due to the protection offered by the alligators. Sure a nesting chick or two will fall and become lunch, but it also keeps the larger threat of raccoons and snakes away form the nests - a perfect habitat for breeding and rearing young.

Great series of images, and the first one is super great, just love the display of the plumage on the Egret.clap.gif

Excellent series of captures. The Alligator Farm is one of my favorite locations.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
