How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thank you very much. From the amount of loving they were getting from their mates the wood storks must look hot to each other.

    Very nice, Harry. :D

The Wood Storks shot very engaging...thumb.gif I might try darkening the blue sky and see if that gives a little depth and contrast to make the WSs stand more.

Thanks Ric, I'll give that a try. I kept it light to keep the capture "soft" but I want to see how it looks iwth a darker sky now.

I'm not sure it would be better...but it's an easy thing to try. I know I'm sometimes amazed at how upping the saturation and decreasing the brightness of the sky can have an astounding impact on the overall appeal of a shot.

If the sky is easy to select...I'll run a gradient on a brightness adjustment layer mask to help accentuate the subject.

Working with skies is easy and there are lots of ways to do it. Here's a reworked version using the Viveza 2 plug in. You just have to be careful of haloing effects.

Well the rework accomplishes bringing the storks out to you...but the original is more appealing.

Yeah, thats the way I'm leaning. I've tried different skies on that capture but the first seems to be more appealing.
